The day in the life of a mom, wife, daughter, sister, and friend living with Multiple Sclerosis.
Welcome to my world!
Here is where I will talk/vent about my MS and any and all things that make me go hmmmm or just piss me off.
My way of getting it out, to be able to let it go and move on. It is also a place to share the good things that go on in my life. Somehow, no matter how bad it gets, and it can get very bad
, I always manage to 'Make it through the rain'!
Stay tuned!

's girls!
I'm telling you, it is uplifting!! lolamers luv back at ya!!

So there is this really top of the line wheel-chariot i really want to get. It could change my life...literally! It is called the iBot 4000 Mobility System . It is the coolest thing ever. The only problem is the price $24,000 +
. Check the site and you will see why. It is a wicked cool.
So...my neuro wrote me a scrip for the chair. Now I can go through the scooter store and get a new electric WC and my insurance will pay for it 100%. The problem is that it is the same thing I have now. My insurance company only recognizes 4 wheel chairs that are 'medically' necessary.
They will pay a portion of the iBot. A portion? Well I am on a new mission. lol What is is a medical necessity for one, may be different for others.
To me, quality of life is a medical necessity. This chair can lift you up to reach hard to reach items. Saving you from falling or getting hurt trying to stand and reach them. It will help me to cook as it will raise me up high enough. I do not use my stove as i burned myself once trying to cook. And trying to use the microwave
...can't reach it! As for the stair functions...it would let me be able to actually get into my backyard, go on the grass the gravel and finally get some life back. Don't they realize that 'depression' is a medical condition?? Don't they even care?? No, of course not, all about the money.
So, my mission is to show Pacificare what a 'medical' necessity is. People need to stand up for their rights, especially the disabled. I will speak for all of us that want to have a fulfilled life. Those of us that have so much to give, but cannot due to our limitations.
I am a fighter and will fight for my rights.
I am blessed, as my father and step-mom are going to help me get the chair either way. It is paid up front, then they help you with the insurance. I am also going to get a lift for my car.
My dream is to volunteer at a senior citizens home. So many of our sweet senior citizens are forgotten. I want to let them know that there are people who care.
That is part of my goal. Get the chair that can expand my mobility, the lift to get the chair out, and the hope to get my life back!
So, watch out Pacificare, cause here comes trouble!!
Blessings to all!
Good luck!!!!!
That is a great chair and it is going to help you so much. Good for you for fighting the insurance company. They deserve to know what is "medically necessary." Am glad you have your Dad and stepmom in your life. just keep me posted!
